Orthodox Christian Social Media Content
As I have stated prior throughout this website, the goal ultimately is to provide you with as many trusted Orthodox Christian sources as possible. Here I will list all of the current sources I use currently and have used to educate myself on the Faith, to deepen my Faith, and to feed my soul.
Roots of Orthodoxy. They are on YouTube and Patreon. This is a wonderful resource that keeps it fairly basic in theology and education of the Church. They choose phenomenal Priests throughout the country to provide as much information as possible to those inquiring about Orthodoxy. They were easily the most influential social media source I used in the beginning of my conversion.
Patristic Nectar Publications. This is run by Fr. Josiah Trenham who is a convert himself and one of the more influential Orthodox voices on the Internet today. You’ll see why when you visit their website. They are on YouTube, they have their own website, and they just developed an amazing app for your phone. The app is totally free and provides hundreds, if not thousands, of hours of lectures across all theological and Biblical topics. This source is very reliable and extremely trustworthy. I have the app, I’ve purchased content, and I watch Fr. Josiah on YouTube. This source provides basic information as well as profoundly advanced content. Can’t recommend this enough.
Death To the World. This is a personal favorite of mine. They are on Instagram and Patreon mainly and also have their own website I highly recommend subscribing to them on Patreon. They provide amazing in-depth Orthodox content and really portray a fundamental theme of Orthodoxy which is in the title itself. This focuses more on the teachings of the saints, asceticism, and monasticism. They have all kinds of literature you can purchase and it’s all very cheap but packed to the brim with theology. This is a really fun source. I love their content in lectures, their literature, and their social media messages.
Harmony. This is also another subscription similar to Death To The World. They are on YouTube but the majority of their content is on Patreon as well. They are another fun subscription that provides a different and more interactive platform to online Orthodoxy that’s relatively new to the Faith. I love their content.
Jonathan Pageau. He is an amazing individual to listen to for his ability to explain the symbolism and language used in the Bible through the lens of an Orthodox Christian. He has been featured on a plethora of podcasts all over the internet. His personal content is incredibly deep and rich in theological symbolism. This is a more advanced listen and whenever I listen to him I have to really focus. He packs quite the punch in his content. He’s on YouTube, he has his own website, he has spoken at a multitude of universities, and he is featured on a ton of podcasts. Another magnificent subscription.
